Oh Johnny
Ella Fitzgerald 1917
  (MacGregor 2042)   Fenton Jones

two columns

FIGURE    Basic, corner progression

All join hands and circle the ring
Stop where you are and you give her a swing (partner)
Swing that little gal behind you (corner)
Swing your own if you have found that she's not flown
Allemande left with the corner girl
Dosado your own
Now you all promenade with that sweet corner maid
Singing oh, Johnny, oh, Johnny, oh

(Repeat entire dance. You now have a new partner, and a new corner.)

This dance may be done in squares (4 couples), or as a circle mixer in a large circle around the entire hall.

This is one of the most popular dances still used today in many schools to introduce kids to square dancing.
