I was working in the lab late one night
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight
And a monster from a slab began to rise
And suddenly, to my surprise
Four men (or monsters) promenade inside the ring
Come back home and everybody swing
Swing and promenade, you know he did the mash
It caught on in a flash, he did the monster mash

1 & 3 square thru get four hands you go
Dosado with the corner one time around you know
Curlique and then scoot back my friend
Boys run around that girl, star thru and go
Dive thru and square thru 3/4 round and go
Swing the corner lady and you promenade you know
Promenade you know, he did the mash
It caught on in a flash, he did the monster mash

Where the master bedroom where the vampires feast
The ghouls all come from their humble abodes
To get a jolt from my electrodes
Four ladies promenade inside the ring
