two columns

OPENER - CLOSER    Basic - SSD Week 1

Four ladies promenade, one time around the ring
Get back home and swing with your man
All join hands circle left
Left allemande and weave the ring
I laugh when I can, I live with the rest
Swing your girl around and promenade her
I try to be a friend to the person on my left
But that ain't necessarily so

FIGURE    Mainstream, corner progression

Heads (sides) promenade go halfway round the ring
Down the middle square thru go four now
Four hands around and then, a right & left thru my friend
Eight chain two, touch a quarter
Scoot back and then scoot back again
Swing the corner girl and promenade
They say you just can't be too careful who you know
But that ain't necessarily so

MIDDLE BREAK

Sides face grand square
Now depending on the soil and the season
You can plant a seed and you can watch it grow
You can't have a guarantee, cause everything that oughta be
Ain't necessarily so

Circle left
I learned that holding on means letting go
Swing your girl around and promenade her
I try to be a friend to the person on my left
But that ain't necessarily so
