INTRO

North Carolina on old Linville Mountain
Where the Bear and the Catamount reign
A strange ghostly light can be seen most every night
And no scientist nor hunter can explain

OPENER - MIDDLE BREAK    Basic - SSD Week 2

Four ladies chain cross the ring now
Join hands and circle round that land
Rollaway half sashay, circle left round that way
Rollaway, dosado and weave the ring
High on the mountain and down in the canyon
Dosado, promenade
There's a Brown Mountain Light it's shining there tonight
And no scientist nor hunter can explain

FIGURE    Mainstream, R-H lady progression

Heads lead right and you circle
Make a line, go forward up and back
Pass thru, wheel & deal
Center two swing thru, turn thru, then go left allemande
Pass your own and swing the right hand lady
Left allemande, come back and promenade
A trusty old slave came back from the grave
A searching for his master long gone
