Four ladies promenade, go once inside the ring
Well get back home and give your man a swing
Join your hands and circle to the left, go walking round
You do an allemande left with the corner, weave the ring
You weave it in and out, when you meet your maid
Swing the girl around, then we'll all promenade
Well you walk along with your pretty baby
Hurry up, I don't mean maybe
I could always be alone with you
FIGURE Basic, corner progression
1 & 3 (2 & 4) promenade, you go halfway around the ring
Down the middle and do a right & left thru
Flutter wheel straight across, sweep 1/4 more
Pass thru and do the right & left thru, veer to the left
You ferris wheel and then, centers pass thru
Swing the corner girl, well you promenade the world
Well you walk along with your pretty baby
Hurry up, I don't mean maybe
I could always be alone with you
