Teddy Bears' Picnic   (Seven C's 218)   David Cox
OPENER - CLOSER    Basic, unknown progression

All the ladies will chain across, you with the girl and then
You roll away, you join your hands and circle around the ring
All the ladies roll away, circle left around I say
And then you find your corner, allemande left and weave
Every teddy bear who's been good is sure of a treat today
There's lots of wonderful things to eat

Swing and you promenade
Beneath the trees where nobody sees they hide and seek as long as they please
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

FIGURE (1,4)    Basic, corner progression

Heads promenade halfway around
Walk in and square thru 4 hands and now
Meet the outside two, swing thru and then
Boys run right and you ferris wheel
Centers square thru 3 hands and go
Swing the corner girl and you promenade
At six o'clock their mommies and daddies will take them home to bed
Because they're tired little teddy bears

FIGURE (2,3)

Head two couples will promenade halfway round the ring
Walk right in and then square thru 4 hands I sing
All the way and when you do, swing thru the outside two
Boys run to the right, ferris wheel and go
In the middle square thru 3 hands round you go
Meet the corner, give her a swing and then promenade back home
Every bear that ever was will gather there for certain because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

MIDDLE BREAK    Basic

All four ladies chain across and go
You roll away, circle left you know
Four ladies roll away and then
Gggrrrrrrr!, allemande left and weave
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone
It's lovely down in the woods today...

You swing and promenade home
For every bear that ever there was is gathered there for certain because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

TAG

Circle left
Gggrrrrrrr!
All the way till you get back home
Move up to the middle and come on back, bow to your partner, too
