FIGURE (4 times through)

Sides face, grand square
Walk, two, three, turn
One, two, three, turn
One, two, three, turn
One, two, three, reverse
One, two, three, turn
One, two, three, turn
One, two, three, turn
Home you go
Allemande left the corner
Turn your partner by the right
Men star left, go once around tonight
Pass the partner by, promenade the next one there*
And when you get her home
Sides face, grand square

(Repeat three times then, on the fourth time: *Company halt)

Colonel Bogey March

(While no original lyrics were probably ever written to this famous tune,
many versions were subsequently penned.
This British version is one of the very few that is not bawdy.)

Cheer up, and the same to you!
Good luck, in every thing you do!
Cheer up, the skies will clear up!
And Britain's boys will come home once again!

Here's a health to the boys in Navy blue!
The Army and the Airforce, too!
Here's a health to the Women's Volunteers,
They all deserve three hearty cheers!

(This one is probably the most familiar with WWII veterans, written by Hubert Gregg.)

Hitler has only got one ball,
Goering has two, but very small;
Himmler is very sim'lar,
And Goebbels has no balls at all.

(This one was popular during the Vietnam War in response to reenlistment bonus money.)

Re-up, and buy a brand new car.
Re-up, show what a fool you are.
Re-up? I'd sooner throw up.
I'd sooner throw up than re-up today.

(This one is probably the most familiar with young kids.

Comet! It makes your teeth turn green
Comet! It tastes like gasoline
Comet! It makes you vomit
So get some Comet, and vomit today.

(This is my personal favorite.)

Sauron, he's only got nine rings
Three are found with the Elven Kings,
Seven, in dwarvish heaven,
And poor old Frodo's got hold o' The One.

Composed by Kenneth Alford (pseudonym for Lieutenant F.L. Ricketts).
