Sides face grand square
Well, Fred was a dog I called my own, he used to answer the telephone
And every now and then, he'd take the truck into town for groceries, Reverse
Yeah, Fred and I got along real well, at the checker board, ol' Fred was hell
And he never minded taking turns at doing the dishes, Allemande left and weave the ring
Fred, you are a good dog!
Swing that lady around right there, now take him for a walk
Fred, you are a good dog!
But you're chasing cars, hanging out at bars and howling at the moon!

Heads (Sides) square thru 4 hands and go around your corner dosado
Swing thru go down the line, boys run to the right, that's fine
Ferris wheel to the middle of the ring
Centers pass thru
Touch 1/4, scoot back, slap your lap!
Swing the corner lady and promenade the ring
Fred, you are a good dog!
But you're chasing cars, hanging out at bars and howling at the moon!

Four ladies chain the ring, turn that girl around
And then you chain her right back home again
Join your hands circle left, go moving along the set
Allemande left your corner and you weave around the ring
Fred, you are a good dog!
But the women got you runnin' wild and crazy as a loon!
Fred, you are a good dog!
But you're chasing cars, hanging out at bars and howling at the moon!
