OPENER - MIDDLE BREAK
Sides face grand square
I dreamed that at a big square dance, I tore my one and only pants
And had to take right off for Timbuktu
While sewing up that awful tear, I wrote this cotton-pickin square
So, listen kids, I'll tell you what to do
FIGURE
It's #1 (#2) stand back to back and with your corner box the gnat
The heads (sides) go forward up and back with you
Now cross trail thru around just two and line up 4 that's what you do
Now forward eight and back again with you
You circle left around that big ol' ring now, then reverse back go single file and sing now
Gents turn back to a dixie grand, meet those girls hand over hand
Meet your partner, swing that gal in dreamland
You allemande left your corner, then you dosado your partner
Now you swing that corner gal, that's what you do
You promenade this gal so bold who captured you with all your gold
And swing her just because she looks like Sue
It's 1 & 3 (2 & 4) you promenade just half around, don't be afraid
Now dixie chain go right back to you rhome
Now all four couples stand back to back and with your corner box the gnat
Now swing that lady right back home with you
It's 1 & 3 (2 & 4) you cross trail thru and u-turn back that's what you do
Now 2 & 4 (1 & 3) you pass on thru and stop, face your own
Pass on thru, left allemande, then promenade your own so grand
And take that lady right back home with you (don't swing)
All four ladies chain across the set now
Now all four ladies chain on back home
The ladies to the center and back to the bar, allemande left right where you are
It's a grand old right & left around that ring now
You meet your partner, box the gnat, then turn right around and box it back
Then a grand right eight go on around the ring
*Now when you meet that lady fair, let's not forget the old grand square
*But now she'll swing awhile with you
