Is it possible that you could generate for me a set of computer cards, 60-80 Couples, 8 Tips?
I've tried using your SQROT program, but am not "computer literate" enough to figure it out.
To generate cards via SQROT,
Start the SQROT program.
Press the 'Cards' button.
In the 'Contents' frame,
Enter '60' for minimum # of couples.
Enter '80' for maximum # of couples.
Enter '8' for # of tips.
In the 'Destination' frame,
Mark the 'Printer' check box to
immediately print the cards; and/or
Mark the 'Text file' check box to
save the data to a file.
Press the 'Print' button to create the cards.
If you marked the 'Text file' check box, you will
be prompted for an output file pathname.

Placing names in disk file before dance
We have a weekend in a few weeks and we have decided to use your computer program for mixing the floor.
Our question is: Can we put the names on a disk and transfer them to your program or do they have to
be typed into the program?
Couple names can be loaded from a file as follows:
Create a text file in the following format:
Line #1 contains a description of the list (e.g., Our Anniversary Dance);
Each remaining line contains a couple name (e.g., Vic & Debbie Ceder);
The text in each line should start in column #1;
The name of the file must be of the form xxx.nam where 'xxx' is 8 characters or fewer and does not contain any spaces or punctuation;
Copy the fils to folder C:\sqdata\sqrot for the program to find it.
To load the names into the program:
Start the SQROT program;
Click the 'Dynamic' button;
From the menu, select 'File | New Rotation';
From the menu, select 'Edit | Add names from list';
Select the desired file (xxx.nam) and click the 'OK' button.
The list of names should now be loaded.
