| Other Information | The 2018 SoCal Party Dance and Early Class Callers Clinic will teach you techniques, build the skills, and give you the tools necessary to take a group of non dancers and quickly have them dancing, with choreo that works and uses the limited number of basics we have to use.
We will extensively cover resolves and choreo, as well as Singing Calls for this specialized calling. In addition, we will give an honest evaluation of your singing voice and the clarity of your presentation. A LOT of mic time, a LOT of dancing, a LOT of fun. The dates are Saturday 2/10 Noon-5pm, 7-10pm AND Sunday 2/11 11am-4pm, 6-8pm. An optional observation of a party I am calling on Friday night is available, to see what I will be teaching ($10 extra). $90 for caller and partner, Solo callers $115 (the idea is that we need couples so solo callers double up, please, or the extra will go to compensate any angels we hopefully won't need). The 3 day package is $100-including the Friday Party to observe- Single Callers $125 Full Package. MINIMUM 5 callers with partners, Maximum 9 with partners OR minimum 10 callers and Max 18, with everyone doubled up. You will need to bring your laptop, 1/8" stereo connecting cable laptop to MA-159/220, your own microphone and music (digital) NO TURNTABLES, sorry. You are encouraged to bring a notebook and plenty of pencils. Recording the sessions for your personal use is fine-NOT FOR SALE. All participants will get 5 tunes free from our libraries/labels. |
