I teach beginning lessons for the Krazy 8s at the Western Dance Center in the Spokane Valley, with a new class starting every fall. I am also a club caller for the Palouse Promenaders in Moscow, ID and call dances as a traveling caller.

I currently call for the River City Steppers out of Newman Lake, Wa. I have been calling for twelve years. I belong to the Spokane Caller Association and BMI/ASCAP. As far as bookings go I prefere weekends I do however like calling one night stands.

I work full time for a pharmaceutical company and my work travel schedule sometimes limits my outside work interests. My goal over the next 3 - 4 years is to be able to retire and devote more time to square dancing, and improve my skills as a Caller.

I started calling in May 2019 after attending Jerry Story’s school. Covid hit soon after. I called a few back patio dances during the shut down. I usually call 1 or 2 at local dances when the caller asks me. One club so far asked me to do the whole dance & I have a few others being lined up. I’ve had a small spot at WA State Fest & am schedule for another slot in Jan. I’d love to try my hand at teaching but haven’t had opportunity yet.

I began dancing in 1979 in Redmond Oregon and have been hooked ever since. I started cueing in 1982 for the Lebanon Square Circlers in Lebanon Oregon. Since then I cued for several clubs in Oregon. In Washington, I cued for Gig Harbor Twirlers, Strait Wheelers in Port Angeles, and the Red Hot Twirlers in Chimacum. When I started dancing with the Strait Wheelers, I recognized the caller and upon investigation, I found I had danced with him in Albany Oregon when I was still there. Small world! I began calling in 2002 for the Red Hot Twirlers and taught the classes there for several years, both calling and cueing. I have done numerous one night stands, the reoccurring one for the City of Port Townsend for their New Year's Eve Festival. I began clogging in 2000 and taught the next year but have not kept that up. I love music and dancing. I also love sharing what I love with those around me. I am currently calling and cueing for the Strait Wheelers Club in Port Angeles.

I have been calling since 2009 where I was taught by Tom Tomlinson, attended caller school with Daryl Clendenin and Don Wood. I am a member of the Rainier Callers and Cuers Association of the Pacific Northwest. Not only do I call Basic, Mainstream and Plus but I have been working with the handicapable. I first learned to sq dance in 1989 since then I have learn to dance Basic, Mainstream, Plus, and Advance. I started calling and cueing in 1993. I call Basic, Mainstream, and Plus level dances. I call for the Harbor Haylofters, and Prairie Steppers. The Haylofters dance in Aberdeen, WA at the Legion Hall on 100 blk of W First St. the first Sat of the month: pre-rounds start at 7:30 and mainstream at 8:00 until 10:30 with a plus tip at the break. The Prairie Steppers Dance at the Oakview Grange the 2nd Sat of the month and start the dance at 7:30 with a half hour of Plus and the Mainstream dance follows until 10:30 with a break. I am a member of Callerlab and have also been a member of ACA. I try to bring high energy and excitement to every dance I call no matter if it's 1 square or 15. I try very hard to keep the dancers dancing and smiling. I love square dancing and hope to be doing in the next 50 years.
