"Calling for FUN!" Recording on Cheyenne Records

I started calling in 2000. I call for clubs around northwest Iowa, and south west Minnesota. I have called at the 2002 national conventions in St. Paul. The Iowa state square dance convention and the Minnesota state square dance convention. I am available to call in schools, birthday parties and reunions.

I am traveling part time. I call for a flat rate, no percentages. I am a second generation caller, my father called in the 1950's and 1960's. I did singing calls with him in 1965. I did not call again until 1992, after being a "retread" in 1991. Associations I belong to include ACA, Southeast Iowa Callers Assoc. and Iowa State Callers, Cuers and Instructors Association. I play both 6&12 string guitar, and Hammered Dulcimer,also Mandolin&Mandocello.I just love all kinds of music. I think as long as you have fun in square dancing,I call for a group of senior citizens, one day a week. I do call in my regional area. and you love what you're doing, you have a good outlook on life.

Calling and teaching for Albia Lads and Lassies and the Petticoats Junction clubs. I have recorded for Eagle records and Quadrille records. Calling for club dances and specials in the MidWest.

Round Dance Instructor/Cuer at Tropic Star RV Resort in Pharr, TX teaching Beginners thru PH 6 from Dec thru Mar with Square Dance Caller Joe Saltel from McKinleyville, CA. Summer program in Cedar Falls & West Branch, IA from Apr thru Nov. Available for Square and Round Dance weekends & festivals.

I have been cueing since 1977. Currently I cue for Merry Mixers Square Dance Club in Des Moines, IA Gilbert Tripple G in Gilbert, Iowa Squires and Dames in Boone, Iowa Plaids and Dads in Des Moines, Iowa The Central Iowa Round Dance Association I am signed up to cue at the Nebraska State Convention September 17-18, 2010. I will be attending Roundalab in Michigan. I am signed up to cue at the 60th National Convention in Detroit, Michigan. I cue at the Iowa State Convention and Teach usually with Bob Myers. I am Editor of the Intercom for SSDUSA. I am Chair for the 42nd National Singles Convention in Des Moines,Iowa. I love to dance, and will try just about any kind of dance, such as Zumba, Salsa, Bachatta, Cumbia, Country Western dances and line dances, Rock N Roll. You get it all with Round Dancing and Square Dancing.

Have been calling since 1995 in a 200 mile radius of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area in northeast Iowa. Along with my wife Lola, we greatly enjoy attending the National Convention each year. Believe that Fun is the Heart of square dancing and enjoy dancing with and calling for dancers that feel the same way.
