Harry Erhard began calling Square Dances in 1961. Throughout the years, Harry has experienced calling Square Dances with several different bands in the Juniata County area. Tim started round dancing in 1973 (in California) and teaching in 1976. He has been a club cuer in Germany (1976-79), Texas (1980-1982), Georgia (1983-1987), Virginia (1988-2008), and Alabama (2009-2021) – thus teaching for 45 years. He is currently based in Huntsville, Alabama teaching all levels of round dancing from beginners (phase 1) to advanced (phase 6).

Tim met Shirley at Dixie Round Dance Council (DRDC) weekends in Tennessee and they became dance teaching partners in February 2018. Shirley and Tim wrote their first dance together in 2018, a phase 5 Waltz named “Always” which was Shirley’s parents’ special song.

Tim & Shirley have been Chairman of the Dixie Round Dance Council, President of the Alabama Round Dance Teacher’s Association, and Vice President of the Northern Alabama Square Dance Caller’s Association. They were the Vice Chairman (VC) for Rounds for the 70th National Square Dance Convention (NSDC) held in Jackson, MS in 2021 and are also the VC for Rounds for the 72nd NSDC to be held in Mobile, AL in 2023.

Tim has taught and cued at every National Square Dance Convention since 1995. He has been the featured teacher at international special events in Canada, Australia, Germany and national U.S. weekend events including state conventions in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Minnesota, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Washington and Hawaii.

As a team, Shirley & Tim have taught at the National Square Dance Conventions, the Tennessee State Convention in Gatlinburg-TN, Alabama State Conventions, Brent & Judy Moore’s round dance club in Knoxville-TN, and Tim’s round dance club in Huntsville, AL.

Tim works as an Information Technology Manager for the Missile Defense Agency. He is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel (LTC). Shirley works in the Actuarial Department of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. One of Tim’s two daughters, Christina Eum, is also a well-regarded round dance cuer/teacher in the Washington DC area. His other daughter, Julianna, is married and is an active-duty U.S. Army LTC.

Tim is well known for his energetic, melodic cueing and teaching style. Tim & Shirley believe that you should “dance with passion, be playful and smile.”

I have been calling for the largest club in the Eugene area, the Whirl-a-ways, since 2008. I also call for many of the clubs in central Oregon on a regular basis, as well as clubs on the south coast. My dances have been described as "energetic and fun". I like to keep the dancers moving and smiling. That is why I really love to call to youth groups! Ann Fallon lives in Annapolis, Maryland, and has been teaching and leading traditional American folk dances in the greater Baltimore-Washington area and beyond since 1990. She calls regularly for special events and one night stands, school dances, weddings, barn dances, family dances and other private venues. Ann has a large and varied repertoire of contra, square and circle dances, and calls with both live and recorded music. Ann is a also regular caller for dance series sponsored by the Annapolis Traditional Dance Society, the Baltimore Folk Music Society, as well as at the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo, Maryland, for the Friday Night Dancers and the Folklore Society of Greater Washington. Ann especially enjoys introducing traditional dance to newcomers at one night stands and community dances.

I started square dance lessons in 1991 and fell in love with square dancing. I attended Ed Foote's caller school in 1993 and then went to Chapparel Callers School the following year. I didn't know much at that first callers school but Ed nicknamed me Mr. Enthusiasm and the nickname has stuck since then. Called in the Northern Indiana and Michigan areas for 11 years with many dates in the Chicago and Detroit areas. Started Sunshine Twirlers Club in Elkhart, Indiana, in 1993. In 2004 my wife and I became full time RVers and spent our winters in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas where I taught and called for several clubs. In 2007 I decided to take a break from calling because we were working full time as Activity Directors in a 55 plus park in Texas. After a hiatus of 15 years, I decided to go back to calling and started calling and teaching in Kingston, Tennessee, for the Three Rivers Ramblers. Currently, I am offering classes at My People Senior Center in Sevierville, Tennessee, and working on starting SSD classes in Eastern Tennessee. Jaden Frigo presented his first call in 2005 at age 8 and has been involved in club calling since 2009. He has been calling full time ever since leaving high school - one of few active full time callers in Australia.

Jaden launched the 'Australiana Dancers' in 2012 and has built it into one of the countries best known clubs - holding 4 club dances a week.

Jaden regularly organizes special weekends & one day events - having coordinated in excess of 30 specials in the last decade. Some of the countries most loved weekends (including the Australiana Spectacular, Australiana Getaway, By the Sea Weekend & PAC Weekend) have all been organized by Jaden. 

Jaden has been invited to call in the USA, England, New Zealand, 6 European countries & every state of Australia. Dancing since 1973 and calling since 1976 - although I took a ten year break in the 1980's to concentrate on family and career. I have recorded with "Down Under" and "C-Bar-C" “GR8 Tracks”. HENRY GARFATH has been described as "the Swiss Army Knife of Traditional and Western Dance". Henry's wide dance interests and experience are reflected by his membership of many professional organisations including the English Folk Dance and Song Society (he is a former Director and Chairman of the South East Area), Cymdeithas Ddawns Werin Cymru (the Welsh Folk Dance Society), the British Western Dance Association and the Square Dance Callers Club of Great Britain, having organised the Contra and Traditional Dance section of the British National Convention for many years. Henry has represented the Society for International Folk Dancing at Danceworld at Olympia and is one of only three members of Contralab in this country. Henry and his wife, Barbara, are the UK representatives of the Lloyd Shaw Foundation.

In between calling and cueing dances, Henry has written three books on dancing and numerous articles in specialist dance publications. His depth of knowledge and choreographic skills are equally respected on both sides of the Atlantic. As well as teaching dance at many colleges throughout London, Surrey and Kent and Hampshire, he has taught choreography at the New England Folk Festival in Boston, MA and Scottish & Historical dance at Sacramento and UOP Stockton, CA and USA National Square Dance Conventions.

I began dancing as a teen in 1972 with the Susquehanna Swingers in Havre de Grace, Maryland. At Susquehanna Swingers, I learned to square, round, and line dance. I have been in love with dancing since. I was recruited as a caller in 2006 by Sage Swingers Square and Round Dance Club in Brunswick, Maine. As an associate caller, I was mentored by local callers Bill Fulton and Walt Bull, and attended caller school at the NorthEast Caller School with Ken Ritucci every year since 2006, most recently serving as an Teaching Assistant. In September 2011, I started Twin City Spinners Square and Round Dance Club in Lewiston/Auburn Maine. Promotion for the club start-up included many flash dances and demonstrations and an incredible article published in the Lewiston Sun Journal. I started cueing rounds in 2014 in response to the need for more round cuers. I now cue most styles and levels of dances. Square dance calling: I call through A1, teach through plus and prefer to call fast-track (hot hash) mainstream and plus. Round dance cueing: I cue two-step, waltz, foxtrot, slow two-step, cha, tango, jive, humba, and bolero through Phase 4. I will cue higher level dances with advance notice. Reine was born in 1975. August 1984, he joined his mother to a Square dance beginner evening where the plan was to sit by the side to do his schoolwork.  One boy was missing, and he was dragged up to fill the second square. 1987 he started calling as a stand in for the club caller and found out that calling was his “thing”. Reine has been a club caller for several Swedish, Danish and German clubs. He’s living in Helsingborg and travels regularly to his girlfriend in southern Germany. Nowadays he’s doing specials around Europe.

The latter club will celebrate its 60th birthday in October 2007. My philosophy is to sight call to the floor, calling to a degree of difficulty which the dancers can cope with 95% of the time. I then assist any struggling dancers. Normally with singing call I let the floor relax, except at Advanced. I try and attand and call at the USA National Square Dance Convention every year. I am a beginner caller (less than 4 years) and have called contra and New Dancer Square Daning. I am now retired from public school teaching and have taken a weekend caller's school on 2013. I don't consider myself a caller yet. I need lots of practice. I call in Vanderhoof BC. "Dance.... just for the health of it" I believe that with a great deal of practice... anyone can be a good main stream dancer. I have done some folk dance teaching in a couple of public school (2 lessons a week) and the kids enjoy that (Grade 2 and 3). And also an afternoon with Girl Guides teaching very beginning square dancing. I am not looking for bookings in my area at all. I do however enjoy a one time dance with children (after all my years of primary teaching and also music lessons with youth.)

I play both 6&12 string guitar, and Hammered Dulcimer,also Mandolin&Mandocello.I just love all kinds of music. I think as long as you have fun in square dancing,I call for a group of senior citizens, one day a week. I do call in my regional area. and you love what you're doing, you have a good outlook on life.

I regularly call at the Hamilton Square Dance Club on a Friday night, Mainstream night. I call half an hour of Plus prior to Mainstream and I help at the Learner's class on Thursday nights.

I started calling in 1994, and currently call for three clubs on a regular basis: the Ukiah Promenaders, Redwood Coasters in Fort Bragg (with Ed Tausig), and Singles & Pairs in Santa Rosa. (Not all of them every week!!) I'm available for weekend dances around Northern California and adjacent areas, and am willing to travel a pretty fair distance on request. Also, I _love_ Big Band music, and like to use it in my calling.

I have the motto that if the dances take longer to teach than they take to dance they are too difficult. I call hoedown dances (easy ones), line dances, circle mixers, and simple folk dances. Summer church and 4-H camps, church gatherings, parties, barn dances. Usually, just for fun kind of activities. I also lead dance parties for gatherings like national and state meetings for many organizations.

Jon has been calling for over 50 years and travels throughout the world. A recipient of the CALLERLAB Milestone Award (its highest honor), Jon always has interesting choreography and a deep, resonant singing voice. He has recorded on Global, Desert Gold and Kalox. Jon believes that "Square Dancing is an expression of joy!"

I am the caller for the "Ups'n'downers" Square Dance Club in Gosnells Western Australia. Started calling in 1990 and joined the Callers Association of Western Australia (CAWA) and the Australian Callers Federation (ACF) in 2002. I became the Ups'n'downers club caller in April 2000.
