I am a member of Roundalab, ICBDA, Alabama Square and Round Dance Association, Vice president of Alabama Round Dance Teachers Association. I Started cueing in 2010. currently cue for Lake Twirlers in Guntersville, AL and Duos & Solos in Fort Payne, AL. I also do weekends and festivals.

Tim started round dancing in 1973 (in California) and teaching in 1976. He has been a club cuer in Germany (1976-79), Texas (1980-1982), Georgia (1983-1987), Virginia (1988-2008), and Alabama (2009-2021) – thus teaching for 45 years. He is currently based in Huntsville, Alabama teaching all levels of round dancing from beginners (phase 1) to advanced (phase 6).

Tim met Shirley at Dixie Round Dance Council (DRDC) weekends in Tennessee and they became dance teaching partners in February 2018. Shirley and Tim wrote their first dance together in 2018, a phase 5 Waltz named “Always” which was Shirley’s parents’ special song.

Tim & Shirley have been Chairman of the Dixie Round Dance Council, President of the Alabama Round Dance Teacher’s Association, and Vice President of the Northern Alabama Square Dance Caller’s Association. They were the Vice Chairman (VC) for Rounds for the 70th National Square Dance Convention (NSDC) held in Jackson, MS in 2021 and are also the VC for Rounds for the 72nd NSDC to be held in Mobile, AL in 2023.

Tim has taught and cued at every National Square Dance Convention since 1995. He has been the featured teacher at international special events in Canada, Australia, Germany and national U.S. weekend events including state conventions in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Minnesota, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Washington and Hawaii.

As a team, Shirley & Tim have taught at the National Square Dance Conventions, the Tennessee State Convention in Gatlinburg-TN, Alabama State Conventions, Brent & Judy Moore’s round dance club in Knoxville-TN, and Tim’s round dance club in Huntsville, AL.

Tim works as an Information Technology Manager for the Missile Defense Agency. He is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel (LTC). Shirley works in the Actuarial Department of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. One of Tim’s two daughters, Christina Eum, is also a well-regarded round dance cuer/teacher in the Washington DC area. His other daughter, Julianna, is married and is an active-duty U.S. Army LTC.

Tim is well known for his energetic, melodic cueing and teaching style. Tim & Shirley believe that you should “dance with passion, be playful and smile.”

David and Linda Holladay have been square and round dancing since before their marriage in 1991. They have been the club cuers for 11 clubs since 1988 and have taught/cued at numerous festivals, conventions, and special dances. In addition, they enjoy one-night stands that permit them to travel throughout the state and teach beginning square, round, and/or line dancing to church, youth, and college groups.

I have been instructing lines since 2007 and cueing rounds since 2008. I have had several line dance clubs. At the present time I cue rounds and lines for the Wheel Arounds, Singles and Doubles, Lake Twirlers, Boaz Squares and Krazy 8's. I enjoy dancing and nothing pleases me more than to see a floor full of dancers - smiling!! As the former Jim Hydrick used to say "K.I.S.S", which stands for "Keep It Simple Stupid". This is my motto!!!

Have been calling since July 1946. Currently calling for 1 mainstream club with some plus tips, do line dances and mixers during the evening. Have taught and cued round dances since 1969. Currently do not have a round dance club but cue some and club dances. Also have taught clogging in my younger days,prompt contras and call traditional square dances. I am 81 years old and have enjoyed calling for 68 years and was priviledged to call and teach square dancing in Korea. At my age not really interesting in booking dances. I do a lot of one night stands in the local area, plus do a line dance workshop and a square dance workshop on a monthly basis.

Bob & Lynn Van Atta began their round dancing experience in 1983 under the leadership of George & Louise Van Courtland of Lafayette, LA. They became leaders for Les Danseurs Round Dance Club after the death of George Van Courtland in 1884.

In addition to cueing at local & state festivals in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida & Texas, the Van Attas were on the staffs of Fun Valley in Colorado for 2 years, English Mountain in Pigeon Forge, TN for 5 years, the Fontana Fall Festival in North Carolina for 7 years, and the Mid-America Festival in Louisville, KY for 4 years.

They have choreographed a number of dances and two of them, Whipped Cream and Whiskey Under the Bridge, were named "Round of the Quarter" by Round-A-Lab, the International Association of Round Dance Teachers.

After Lynn retired from her teaching position, Bob sold their boarding kennel and they spent the next 7 years on the road, working for KOA (Kampgrounds of America) all over the United States.

In January 2011, Bob & Lynn purchased a home in Green Valley, AZ and have gone back to the activity that was so much a part of their lives - Square and Round Dancing. They cue for the Green Valley Squares and the Western Whirlers square dance clubs. They also teach in their own club, Les Danseurs. They cue and teach five times a week in Tucson and Green Valley in Arizona.

Doug's Sinatra-like voice can bring the evening to a close with relaxing dance tunes from the era of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, so everyone enjoys some soothing slow dancing after an evening of lively action. He has received numerous compliments on his song selection and singing from the heart. Doug can also do "Square Dance Demos", providing the dancers, the music and the calling. I've been teaching round dancing in the Southern California area for 35 years. I'm a member of Southern California Round Dance Teachers' Association and Roundalab. Have written several dances including "Peg Of My Heart", "Moonlight Cocktails", "Rhumba Orpheus", and "Hot Stuff". For several years, was employed by The Sets In Order American Square Dance Society doing layout and paste-up for the monthly magazine "Square Dancing" edited by Bob Osgood.

Club cuer for Aces & Deuces, Palmdale, Ca; also the Mountain Squares in Frazier Park [they are dark during the winter and don't always offer round dancing,] but I am usually their cuer for dances that include RDing. I am also a substitute cuer for Glendale [CA] B'n'B's and Sierra Hillbillies in Santa Clarita, CA. I currently teach Beginners and Easy Intermediate on Wednesday nights and Intermediate to High Intermediate on Friday nights. I square dance through A-2 and will receive my 20 year plaque as a cuer/teacher from Roundalab at the 2008 convention in Wichita. My teaching slogan is "Success [in round dancing] is achieved when techniques are mastered and then forgotten." For cueing, "If you look like you're having fun, no one will watch your feet."

I teach/cue levels II through VI and am BMI and ASCAP licensed. I am a member of Round-A-Lab, Round Dance Teachers Association Of Southern California, and URDC and have been a round dance instructor since 1994. I feel that dancing at any level has many benefits, but enjoyment is at the top of the list.

Andrith and Michael are relatively new to cueing, but have been bringing their style to round dancing since 2012. They are the club caller and cuer for the Monarch Mavericks of Salida, Colorado, and enjoy working for clubs and events in Colorado, New Mexico and surrounding states. Their round dance style is "Dance the Fantasy," and they work to make the music visible on the floor. While Michael makes sense of the technology and partners in the teaching and demos, Andrith's lyrical cueing is unique, probably stemming from decades of singing in choirs. Their joy in the dance is obvious, and they bring humor and verve to a dance floor. Andrith and Michael take greatest pleasure in cueing for square dance events at square dance level. ROUND 'EM UP!

I started cueing in 2004 in Ontario, Canada doing benefit dances and guest appearances at a few clubs around Ottawa before my job and I got transferred to California. I cued at several local hoedowns and festival and have taught beginner classes. I moved to Georgia in 2019, where I'm cueing for Peel Offs, a plus square dance club in Savannah. We have been teaching & cueing Round Dances since 1974. We retired when I had some trouble with my voice after 20 years. Gene & Etta hail from the beautiful Bayou country of South Louisiana. We have been dancing many years and Gene has been cueing since 2003. We have presented dances at National Conventions since 2005, including "Eunice Blues" and "Marie Leveaux". Good food and dancing are integral part of their culture, and they invite you to visit South Louisiana where they celebrate the Saints and Mardi Gras all year long. Perhaps because we "inherited" our role as cuers to keep a circle of long time friends dancing our "Mission Statement" has always been that round dancing should be fun and as stress free as possible. Of course, we try diligently to teach and cue correctly, but our main focus will always be la joie de la danse (the joy of the dance).

I began dancing as a teen in 1972 with the Susquehanna Swingers in Havre de Grace, Maryland. At Susquehanna Swingers, I learned to square, round, and line dance. I have been in love with dancing since. I was recruited as a caller in 2006 by Sage Swingers Square and Round Dance Club in Brunswick, Maine. As an associate caller, I was mentored by local callers Bill Fulton and Walt Bull, and attended caller school at the NorthEast Caller School with Ken Ritucci every year since 2006, most recently serving as an Teaching Assistant. In September 2011, I started Twin City Spinners Square and Round Dance Club in Lewiston/Auburn Maine. Promotion for the club start-up included many flash dances and demonstrations and an incredible article published in the Lewiston Sun Journal. I started cueing rounds in 2014 in response to the need for more round cuers. I now cue most styles and levels of dances. Square dance calling: I call through A1, teach through plus and prefer to call fast-track (hot hash) mainstream and plus. Round dance cueing: I cue two-step, waltz, foxtrot, slow two-step, cha, tango, jive, humba, and bolero through Phase 4. I will cue higher level dances with advance notice. I am a member of the international caller/cuer associations Callerlab and Roundalab, and local caller/cuer association NECTA, METRA, and am a founding member of the Four Corners Association.

Dennis has recently finished his first book concerned with Round Dancing, "Foundations of Round Dancing: Two Step and Waltz." He wrote this book for new students of Round Dancing as a means of reminding them of the topics learned in Round Dance class. David & Teri Meyer are the dance leaders for Romance Point Dancing and Funtastics (Carousel Club #343). They are also the immediate Past-Presidents of the Texas Round Dance Teachers Association (TRDTA), and are the Round Dance coordinators for the 2008 TSFSRD State Festival, to be held in Tyler, Texas, on June 7, 2008. I began dancing in 1979 in Redmond Oregon and have been hooked ever since. I started cueing in 1982 for the Lebanon Square Circlers in Lebanon Oregon. Since then I cued for several clubs in Oregon. In Washington, I cued for Gig Harbor Twirlers, Strait Wheelers in Port Angeles, and the Red Hot Twirlers in Chimacum. When I started dancing with the Strait Wheelers, I recognized the caller and upon investigation, I found I had danced with him in Albany Oregon when I was still there. Small world! I began calling in 2002 for the Red Hot Twirlers and taught the classes there for several years, both calling and cueing. I have done numerous one night stands, the reoccurring one for the City of Port Townsend for their New Year's Eve Festival. I began clogging in 2000 and taught the next year but have not kept that up. I love music and dancing. I also love sharing what I love with those around me. I am currently calling and cueing for the Strait Wheelers Club in Port Angeles.
