I have been calling for 25+ years. I call for 2 clubs on a weekly basis. I have taught in the continuing education program on several occasions. I do one night stands without the help of experienced dancers. Although I do not call the Advanced program, the wife and I did dance it for a period of time. I entertain at retirement homes by singing classic country songs for those beyond their dancing years. I believe a square dance is as much a social event as a dance event, and a square dance club should be part of your personal support group.

In the summer of 2004 Jet married Sylvia Bjork from Sweden. They had a beautiful wedding in her hometown of Orebro, Sweden with many friends from Europe & the USA in attendance. I started my club, Bluebird Squares, in 2017 in Bryant. We started dancing in June 2019 at the Saline County Fairgrounds, Benton, Arkansas. We are a very casual club that meets the third Saturday of the month (with a few exceptions). My main intent is for the dancers to come and have fun! I do mostly singing calls which my group says they enjoy. My music includes, but certainly isn't limited to: Dancing on the Ceiling, Black Velvet, Storms Never Last, Old Time Rock N Roll, Pink Cadillac, Never Been to Spain and many others. I am a "traditional" dance caller. I lead and call contras and squares in what's dubbed the "traditional" style. I am not a member in of Callerlab, and I don't participate in the class orientation of the Modern Western Square Dance organizations. I call in the "all are welcome" style of including a walkthrough of each dance prior to calling it to music. Also, I only work with live music. If the budget is small, I provide the music for my calling by playing fiddle. Though I follow that age old tradition of fiddling and calling, I do use a PA... I started calling in 1984, became a regular caller in San Luis Obispo, CA in 1986. I love calling dances for experienced contra dancers as well as callers for large groups of non-dancers at weddings, parties, and any kind of get-together.

Moved from the SF Bay Area to Sacramento in April of 2022. I call on a rotating, occasional, or fill-in basis for Prime 8's and Pear Steppers, and have previously called or filled in at Main Street Strollers, Whirl-A-Ways, and Sierra Squares. As of August 1, 2023, I am the full-time contracted club caller for Capital City Squares. I

I started calling in 1994, and currently call for three clubs on a regular basis: the Ukiah Promenaders, Redwood Coasters in Fort Bragg (with Ed Tausig), and Singles & Pairs in Santa Rosa. (Not all of them every week!!) I'm available for weekend dances around Northern California and adjacent areas, and am willing to travel a pretty fair distance on request. Naaman Moorehouse started his calling career in 1977 while living in Honolulu, Hawaii. Throughout the next 16 years he organized and maintained three dance clubs in Honolulu and was a frequent guest caller around the islands. After relocating to the mainland, he organized and maintained dance clubs in Davenport and Preston, Iowa and was a frequent guest caller for dances in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri. Several years ago Naaman relocated to western Colorado and declared himself to be retired from the work demands which kept him on the road for so many years. It was soon thereafter that he picked up his mike, dusted off his records and rekindled his passion for calling. He is currently the club caller for the Delta Hub Wheelers (Delta, CO); the Black Canyon Twirlers (Montrose, CO); and his own Plus Club, the High Desert Diamonds, which he recently started and which dances the 1st & 3rd Fridays of each month in Grand Junction, CO.

Christina is 16 years old. She has been square dancing for 5 years. She called her first singing call at her Mainstream class graduation. Plus dancing was added to her repertoire while staying in Japan. She now dances MS through A2. Last year (2005) was her first time calling at the National Square Dance Convention outside of exhibitions and she continues to improve her calling skills.

Ron is one of only a few Modern Western callers who bridges the gap between CALLERLAB sanctioned programs and his own unique Community Dance Programs. Always presented with first-timers encouraged to participate, program variety is accomplished by varying the dance formations. With a presentation that includes a blend of traditional square dances, modern western square dances, Appalachan Big Circle dances, New England contras, circle mixers, couple dances, and an occasional English Country dance, Ron makes it fun and easy for everyone.

I called regularly from 1967 to 2007. My teachers were Al Brundage and Earl Johnston as well as Jim Mayo, Ron Schneider, Jack Lasry, Deuce Williams, Audry Jones and Jay King. I also loved to dance New England Contra Dancing and Traditional squares to Duke Miller and Bob McQuillen who were influenced by Ralph Page. During the years I called, Western Style diminished rather than grew in New England. Ron Baldwin in CT has created a new club in the past 3 years. Earl Johnston once said Western dancers dance with their hands and traditional dancers dance with their feet. I believe we should take the best of both worlds and have them dance with their feet and hands and recreate the positive atmosphere that Ron Baldwin has done with his club. Choreography has evolved over the years and we should be able to theme our choreography around concepts that create smooth flowing material that creates a dance feeling of fun, fellowship and success. I have some ideas on how to achieve this by grouping calls into families and knowing how they evolved.

Our specialties are Barn Dances, Family Dances, Dance Parties for the occasional dancers or the non-dancers, community dances, Contra Dances Beginner's Balls, and exciting fast paced Mainstream club dancing. We will teach your group all that is necessary to have an exciting evening of good old fashioned fun! As disciples of Hall of Fame caller Dick Leger, we prompt all our squares. This unique style of calling always gives the dancer the first beat. Exciting duets have always been the center of our program. I have been calling since 1998, I have attended two Caller Colleges and I currently call for the Shadow Hoppers in Kansas City MO and have called for the Double S Squares in Gladstone MO. I have enjoyed teaching square dancing to folks of all ages. I have a high energy that I like to pass on to my dancers. I am a member in good standing with the North East Kansas Callers Association and with the American Callers Association. I have my license for calling through BMI-Ascap. I am willing to travel to your club, no distance is too far.

Calling for the State Fair Promenaders. I will custom-write lyrics and/or music for your special occasion or request. Can yodel, and will welcome guest singers to join me on the stage for appropriate "spotlighting".

My wife and I Have been dancing since 1988 and I have been calling since 1989. I started cueing in 1999 as clubs were needing someone who could call and cue as to save costs on the dances. I have been teaching square dance since 1993, and have been teaching round dancing since 2000. I am club caller for The Good Time Squares of Wichita, and Club Cuer for The Good Time Squares of Wichita, and The Village Steppers of Derby. I am a Member of the Wichita Area Square Dance Callers Association, the Kansas State Callers Association, and Callerlab.

My husband and I are the Club Callers for the Frontier Twirlers in Osawatomie, KS. We have been calling since 2017. We belong to the KSDCA, NEKSDCA, and KAMO callers associations. In addition to calling for the Frontier Twirlers, we love to do party dances to introduce people to square dancing and line dancing. We also love to be a guest caller at area clubs. We look at calling as a type of ministry, giving people the opportunity to escape their worries for a few hours.
