Tim started round dancing in 1973 (in California) and teaching in 1976. He has been a club cuer in Germany (1976-79), Texas (1980-1982), Georgia (1983-1987), Virginia (1988-2008), and Alabama (2009-2021) – thus teaching for 45 years. He is currently based in Huntsville, Alabama teaching all levels of round dancing from beginners (phase 1) to advanced (phase 6).

Tim met Shirley at Dixie Round Dance Council (DRDC) weekends in Tennessee and they became dance teaching partners in February 2018. Shirley and Tim wrote their first dance together in 2018, a phase 5 Waltz named “Always” which was Shirley’s parents’ special song.

Tim & Shirley have been Chairman of the Dixie Round Dance Council, President of the Alabama Round Dance Teacher’s Association, and Vice President of the Northern Alabama Square Dance Caller’s Association. They were the Vice Chairman (VC) for Rounds for the 70th National Square Dance Convention (NSDC) held in Jackson, MS in 2021 and are also the VC for Rounds for the 72nd NSDC to be held in Mobile, AL in 2023.

Tim has taught and cued at every National Square Dance Convention since 1995. He has been the featured teacher at international special events in Canada, Australia, Germany and national U.S. weekend events including state conventions in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Minnesota, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Washington and Hawaii.

As a team, Shirley & Tim have taught at the National Square Dance Conventions, the Tennessee State Convention in Gatlinburg-TN, Alabama State Conventions, Brent & Judy Moore’s round dance club in Knoxville-TN, and Tim’s round dance club in Huntsville, AL.

Tim works as an Information Technology Manager for the Missile Defense Agency. He is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel (LTC). Shirley works in the Actuarial Department of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. One of Tim’s two daughters, Christina Eum, is also a well-regarded round dance cuer/teacher in the Washington DC area. His other daughter, Julianna, is married and is an active-duty U.S. Army LTC.

I have been calling for 25+ years. I call for 2 clubs on a weekly basis. I have taught in the continuing education program on several occasions. I do one night stands without the help of experienced dancers. Although I do not call the Advanced program, the wife and I did dance it for a period of time. I entertain at retirement homes by singing classic country songs for those beyond their dancing years. I believe a square dance is as much a social event as a dance event, and a square dance club should be part of your personal support group.

I began calling for T-Town Squares, Troy, AL, in 1980, and have been active in local, State, and National Levels of Square Dancing for 30 years. My purpose in calling dances is to create events that bring people together, build community and teach traditional values and etiquette. I host and call dances for Civil War Balls that are primarily for families and youths. I also call dances for hoedowns, weddings, school programs, living history reenactments and other private events. My focus is on historical dances, so I am not your typical modern-day square dance caller or round dance caller. I combine various quadrilles, circle dances, longways dances along with some polkas and waltzes to create unique historical events.

Naaman Moorehouse started his calling career in 1977 while living in Honolulu, Hawaii. Throughout the next 16 years he organized and maintained three dance clubs in Honolulu and was a frequent guest caller around the islands. After relocating to the mainland, he organized and maintained dance clubs in Davenport and Preston, Iowa and was a frequent guest caller for dances in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri. Several years ago Naaman relocated to western Colorado and declared himself to be retired from the work demands which kept him on the road for so many years. It was soon thereafter that he picked up his mike, dusted off his records and rekindled his passion for calling. He is currently the club caller for the Delta Hub Wheelers (Delta, CO); the Black Canyon Twirlers (Montrose, CO); and his own Plus Club, the High Desert Diamonds, which he recently started and which dances the 1st & 3rd Fridays of each month in Grand Junction, CO.

Ron is one of only a few Modern Western callers who bridges the gap between CALLERLAB sanctioned programs and his own unique Community Dance Programs. Always presented with first-timers encouraged to participate, program variety is accomplished by varying the dance formations. With a presentation that includes a blend of traditional square dances, modern western square dances, Appalachan Big Circle dances, New England contras, circle mixers, couple dances, and an occasional English Country dance, Ron makes it fun and easy for everyone.

I started calling in 1998. I have fun at my dances mixing the old with the new. Most of the comments I receive are, "you play different music then most." I have called is some unusual locations, the top of Mt. Evans in Colorado at over 14,000 feet, 200 feet below ground at Wind Cave in South Dakota, the Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado, on stage at Mt. Began calling on a regular basis when I founded the 'Hill Top Squares' (refounded really) at the military post in Baumholder, Germany in Sept. 1981. Thru the years I have called for 8 other clubs. I started cueing in 2004 in Ontario, Canada doing benefit dances and guest appearances at a few clubs around Ottawa before my job and I got transferred to California. While there, I cued weekly for "Star Eights", an advanced square dance club (A2), "Sunnyvale Squares", a plus square dance club, and fill in or guest cue at other nearby square and round dance clubs as needed. We regularly cue for our round dance club "Bon Temp Rounders" of Baton Rouge, La. on Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. We also cue for the Castoffs Square Dance Club every Thursday. Gene & Etta hail from the beautiful Bayou country of South Louisiana. We have been dancing many years and Gene has been cueing since 2003. We have presented dances at National Conventions since 2005, including "Eunice Blues" and "Marie Leveaux". Good food and dancing are integral part of their culture, and they invite you to visit South Louisiana where they celebrate the Saints and Mardi Gras all year long. Perhaps because we "inherited" our role as cuers to keep a circle of long time friends dancing our "Mission Statement" has always been that round dancing should be fun and as stress free as possible. Of course, we try diligently to teach and cue correctly, but our main focus will always be la joie de la danse (the joy of the dance).

I am a full time caller. I have been calling for 22 years. Attended three callers schools. The first one was in Conn., the second in Tenn., and the third in New Hampshire. I am a member of Callerlab & N.E. caller Assoc. My specialties are "yodeling" & "directionally using A1 calls at M.S & Plus dances.

I began dancing as a teen in 1972 with the Susquehanna Swingers in Havre de Grace, Maryland. At Susquehanna Swingers, I learned to square, round, and line dance. I have been in love with dancing since. I was recruited as a caller in 2006 by Sage Swingers Square and Round Dance Club in Brunswick, Maine. As an associate caller, I was mentored by local callers Bill Fulton and Walt Bull, and attended caller school at the NorthEast Caller School with Ken Ritucci every year since 2006, most recently serving as an Teaching Assistant. In September 2011, I started Twin City Spinners Square and Round Dance Club in Lewiston/Auburn Maine. Promotion for the club start-up included many flash dances and demonstrations and an incredible article published in the Lewiston Sun Journal. I started cueing rounds in 2014 in response to the need for more round cuers. I now cue most styles and levels of dances. Square dance calling: I call through A1, teach through plus and prefer to call fast-track (hot hash) mainstream and plus. Round dance cueing: I cue two-step, waltz, foxtrot, slow two-step, cha, tango, jive, humba, and bolero through Phase 4. I will cue higher level dances with advance notice. I am a member of the international caller/cuer associations Callerlab and Roundalab, and local caller/cuer association NECTA, METRA, and am a founding member of the Four Corners Association.

Ann Fallon lives in Annapolis, Maryland, and has been teaching and leading traditional American folk dances in the greater Baltimore-Washington area and beyond since 1990. She calls regularly for special events and one night stands, school dances, weddings, barn dances, family dances and other private venues. Ann has a large and varied repertoire of contra, square and circle dances, and calls with both live and recorded music. Ann is a also regular caller for dance series sponsored by the Annapolis Traditional Dance Society, the Baltimore Folk Music Society, as well as at the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo, Maryland, for the Friday Night Dancers and the Folklore Society of Greater Washington. Ann especially enjoys introducing traditional dance to newcomers at one night stands and community dances.

Singing has always been one of his passions, so after dancing for around ten months, he decided learning how to call was the right thing to do! A year after graduating dance lessons, Matt called his first full tip in 2006. Fast forward to the present, Matt calls multiple dances a month for various clubs across New England. First I was dragged into dancing by my parents in 1982 and came across a caller by the name of Tim Crawford that changed my original opinion of square dancing.
