Born and raised in Northampton, Massachusetts, Dave started dancing with his twin sister at the local teen square dance club in 1966, calling "one nighters" in 1972. He moved from Connecticut to Alabama in 2001 and then to Florida in 2017 with his wife, Susan. Dave calls in Central Florida and is the president of the Suncoast Callers and Cuers Assoc. and member of the Florida state Callers Association.
