Creative Dining

Will you go with me to a wonderful new restaurant?  It's a VERY friendly place, with only a few rules.  A table must be fully occupied (by four couples) before you start eating.  And you must wear acceptable attire, preferably from 30 years ago.

There are NO menus.  The preparer of meals (known as the Cooker) has spent YEARS studying his art.  He decides what you'll eat.  But you'll like what he cooks.  If the restaurant's Club Cooker isn't in, we'll have a nice Guest Cooker for the evening.  Next month we have a special evening with a National Cooker!  I've never dined to this particular cooker, but I've heard he's good.

Sometimes the Cooker prepares a dish and you have NO idea how to eat it.  That's the greatest thing part about this restaurant.  Each dish can be a delightful puzzle to solve.  You will eventually learn how to solve and enjoy all of these puzzles.

It's creative cooking at its FINEST!  Many people have the false impression that creative cooking means going to the barn, finding a spare cow, and drinking milk directly from the cow.  While this may have been true 40 years ago, it's no longer true today.  Most people don't realize that we've come out of the barn.

This isn't a Fast Food place!  At a Fast Food place, you stand in LINES to receive your meal.  Fast Food places have no dress code, the food is easy to order, they advertise constantly, and you don't have to take Dining Lessons.

At OUR restaurant, the name of the game is VARIETY!  No two Cookers prepare a dish the same way.  In fact, the same Cooker will prepare the same dish differently every time it's served!  Today's cookers are measured by how much variety and how many ingredients they know how to use.

Today's creative cooking doesn't necessarily taste good, nor does it satisfy your hunger.  That would make it too PREDICTABLE.  Indeed, the purpose of creative cooking is to showcase the Cooker's skills.

Some Cookers read their recipes from cards.  Others create a meal from memory.  Some merrily add ingredients until the dish LOOKS just right.  And what a dish it is!  The other night, we enjoyed a dish consisting of NO meat, NO vegetables, NO fillers, NOTHING except spices.  It was VERY creative.  Too bad it takes so long to learn how to eat such a wonderful creation.

Our restaurant is part of an international chain.  The same standard ingredients are used all over the world.  Most restaurants use the ingredient list published by COOKERLAB.  There are other ingredient lists around, containing only the most popular COOKERLAB ingredients.  It's worth noting that all ingredients worldwide are still manufactured by COOKERLAB, no matter which list is used.

So, WHEN can you go with me to this restaurant?  Please select ANY convenient date, as long as it's several MONTHS from now.  That's because you'll have to take Dining Lessons.  They only last about eight months, and then you'll know how to dine at this marvelous restaurant!

Please note that after Dining Lessons, you won't be able to enjoy EVERY dish prepared by the Cooker.  But in due time, you'll learn how to enjoy ALL of them.  And if you ever get bored, you'll be happy to know that UPSTAIRS is a more exclusive dining area, where the Cooker uses even MORE ingredients to create more variety!

So, will you sign up for 40 weeks of introductory Dining Lessons, so you can join us one day next YEAR for an entertaining evening of creative dining?  Let us know when you have finished dining lessons.  There's a good strong possibility that we just MIGHT come down from upstairs and sit with you during a meal.
