 Beer Mug Chain

Definition:

Same as Reverse Teacup Chain except men are active rather than girls. Men progress around the square to the left, starring from the head positions and moving directly to the head positions from the side spots. Girls stand pat and accept whatever hand the man gives them as the men alternate hands throughout. When men star by the left it's 3/4 and when they star by the right it's once and a quarter. Head girls receive men from the right and put them into the center in a star. Side girls take men out of the center star and send them to the left. NOTE: In some areas, the Beer Mug Chain is identical to what we here call an Arky Teacup Chain with the four men active.

Harry Schoeneman 1956
