Enjoy and am experienced working with people on a variety of levels and ages ranging from Country Western Party Dances and Line Dances, School Programs, Home School families, Girl Scouts, DBD, Basic thru A-2. Experienced in Multi-Cycle and Fast Track Lessons. Believe in thinking "Out of the Box" to promote Square Dancing. Will travel. Inducted into Illinois State Square Dance Hall of Fame. Relocating to Southwest Minnesota. Member of International Square Dance Campers Association. Accredited Callerlab Member.

I began square dancing in 1969, and started calling in 1970. At that time I lived in Wisconsin. I had two clubs that I gave lessons for and called the dances every month, and both clubs had floats in local parades, also we entertained at Senior Centers. One Club was at Downing, WI. called the Beaux & Belles. The second Club was at New Richmond, WI. named Willow Squares. Both clubs have since closed down.

In the 1980s I also called regularly for the Rice Lake Twirlers. I called for several clubs in Wisconsin from 1970 to 1992 in Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Fall Creek, Centuria and Downsville. In Minnesota I called in Albert Lea, Burnsville, Duluth, Saint Paul, Rum River, and several more. Annually we had Hog Roasts at a campground at Menomonie, Wisconsin.

In 1992 I sold the farm I was operating and moved to MN, to search for work. I ended up at West Publishing (Thomson Reuters) for 12 years.

I did square dance lessons, and dances, for Richfield Squares club. Then I started teaching Country Line dancing with a club in Bloomington, Minnesota. I occasionally called tips with Dick Reuter at Spares & Pairs in Bloomington. I retired from West Publishing (Thomson Reuters) in 2007.

I have called in WI, MN, ND, SD and a weekend festival in Ontario Canada. I had an extended time off due to surgeries, but am now resuming Square Dance Calling. I have submitted my renewal of membership with Callerlab & BMI/ASCAP, and am a member with MSDCA. I attended Callers School in 1971 which was taught by the legendary George Garganno (who is deceased). Let's square them up and get dancing.

I call Mainstream with Plus tips. More recently I have been teaching ABC dances, and a Basic "blast". I was a member of Callerlab from about 1973 until 1992, I have rejoined as of 2019. I am a member of the Minnesota Callers Association.

I call regularly for the Kaleidoscope Squares on the first, third, and fifth Sunday afternoons at 2:00 pm. I teach lessons, we do line dancing between tips. Come and join us for a fun filled Sunday afternoon. I am a recording artist for Goldwing Records. I have released 5 songs thru them. I travel regionally and have just finished a very successful Square Dance Cruise where I was one of 7 terrific callers. We had 6 squares of people who had a great time dancing. Call me and we can talk about the possibility of booking a dance.

Lovely wife Betty..travel as a team. Wayne adjusts dance level to ability of the present dancers on the floor. Emphasis is on good body flow and timing which result in a smooth program. Very good singing voice - easy to understand. Interesting get-outs. May throw in a joke or two. You may have danced to "better" callers, but you have never had more fun! Compatible with all age levels. Love to do "one-night hoedowns" and can communicate well with (age 7 - 19) youth groups.

Roger & I started dancing in the year 2000 and got interested in calling in 2005. We like to call together. We call ourselves the Caller Wanna Be's.

Caller for Mocha Crunch Squares and Mocha Crunch PLUS (it's not vanilla) in Rochester, MN since Jan 2013 until they closed due to the Covid 'crisis'. We were excited by the amount of enthusiastic support we had for these new clubs. I am currently co-calling for the monthly C2 dances with VW Squares with Lynn Webster. My wife and I began dancing in 1965 and danced with Lee Kopman up to the C4 level until 1981 when we turned our attention to raising our children. We resumed dancing in 2011 and are currently dancing and workshopping up through the C2 level. I attended caller's school with Lee in 1979 and had a small club in Poughkeepsie, NY for four years. I've been calling again for more than three years at various venues. My choreography includes all position dancing and DBD, but I tailor dances to suit the dancers and workshop troublesome moves. I attended the North Star Callers School run by Ken Ritucci in June 2013 and am a member of CALLERLAB and the MN Square Dance Callers Association. Please call me for A2 through C2 dances.

I have called & cued at many national square dance conventions. I enjoy teaching squares. My husband and I enjoy camping and traveling, much of this involves square dancing. I belong to both Callerlab and our states callers association, MSDCA which I'm proud to serve as the Executive Secretary.
