Teresa Berger grew up in the square dance activity and started calling in 2010. She calls and teaches square dancing through Plus, cues rounds through phase III, and teaches line dances. She is a member of CALLERLAB and a life member of the Indiana Dancers Association (IDA). She records for Rhythm Records. Teresa is proud to serve as the Executive Director of CALLERLAB, the International Association of Square Dance Callers, and also as the Executive Secretary for the CALLERLAB Foundation for the Preservation and Promotion of Square Dancing.

I started my club, Bluebird Squares, in 2017 in Bryant. We started dancing in June 2019 at the Saline County Fairgrounds, Benton, Arkansas. We are a very casual club that meets the third Saturday of the month (with a few exceptions). My main intent is for the dancers to come and have fun! I do mostly singing calls which my group says they enjoy. My music includes, but certainly isn't limited to: Dancing on the Ceiling, Black Velvet, Storms Never Last, Old Time Rock N Roll, Pink Cadillac, Never Been to Spain and many others. We also do line dancing between tips and I have taught them many line dances. I love line dancing almost as much as square dancing! I believe square dancing should be a time to get away from all the problems and just have fun and laugh!

I am a Regional Caller for the Mid-West Area. I have been calling for 16 years and have called at the Missouri state festivals for the past 12 years, missing only one. I have introduced and written an article on "Fast Track" lessons. I have called and taught the "ABC Program" for 6 years. I began dancing as a teen in 1972 with the Susquehanna Swingers in Havre de Grace, Maryland. At Susquehanna Swingers, I learned to square, round, and line dance. I have been in love with dancing since. I was recruited as a caller in 2006 by Sage Swingers Square and Round Dance Club in Brunswick, Maine. As an associate caller, I was mentored by local callers Bill Fulton and Walt Bull, and attended caller school at the NorthEast Caller School with Ken Ritucci every year since 2006, most recently serving as an Teaching Assistant. In September 2011, I started Twin City Spinners Square and Round Dance Club in Lewiston/Auburn Maine. Promotion for the club start-up included many flash dances and demonstrations and an incredible article published in the Lewiston Sun Journal. I started cueing rounds in 2014 in response to the need for more round cuers. I now cue most styles and levels of dances. Square dance calling: I call through A1, teach through plus and prefer to call fast-track (hot hash) mainstream and plus. I started calling in May 2019 after attending Jerry Story’s school. Covid hit soon after. I called a few back patio dances during the shut down. I usually call 1 or 2 at local dances when the caller asks me. One club so far asked me to do the whole dance & I have a few others being lined up. Our Club The Flutterbys dances every Thursday night, 7:00 PM at the Belle Hall Plantation Clubhouse, Mt Pleasant, SC. Come dance for the fun of it and improve your mental and physical health at the same time. Have been dancing since 1968. My husband started in 1997 and we are now A dancers. We have the clubhouse at our subdivision to use every Thursday night and one of us had to learn to call so we can use it. So in 2006 I went to the Caller's School sponsored by Grand Squares, Inc. in St Louis and started calling. Was able to teach 16 Home Schoolers Basic Square Dancing. They seemed to enjoy it but have not got them to go further. We have started a Mainstream Club, The Flutterby's, but it is slow going. We are not giving up just yet though. We are trying an Introduction to Western Dance on May 18, 2007 and will hope to get some in our community to come to it. We call to 2 couples if that is all that shows up. One night I had one lady come and she and I did line danceing for a while. Our theme is Square Dancing is Fun--Try It.

I started calling in 1983 and now call for Silver Dollar Sqs, ABC Dancers-OKC, Plus & Stuff and am a staff caller at "Mt Nebo 4th of July Square Dance weekend". I enjoy doing "new caller training" sessions. Each summer in OKC I hold a week long Youth Square Dance Camp and the kids learn the Mainstream program. I am 81 years old and have enjoyed calling for 68 years and was priviledged to call and teach square dancing in Korea. At my age not really interesting in booking dances. I do a lot of one night stands in the local area, plus do a line dance workshop and a square dance workshop on a monthly basis.

I started calling in 1998. I have fun at my dances mixing the old with the new. Most of the comments I receive are, "you play different music then most." I have called is some unusual locations, the top of Mt. Evans in Colorado at over 14,000 feet, 200 feet below ground at Wind Cave in South Dakota, the Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado, on stage at Mt. Rushmore along with various other locations. I love to try different things with my groups. We have done Hashtag dancing, Dutch crossing, and others. I am the club caller for Ridge Runners in Conifer, Colorado, and also travel where ever I am hired to do a dance. My wife and I enjoy traveling in our RV to visit, see, and enjoy other areas. I truly believe Square Dancing is Friendship Set to Music.

I've been calling since 2016, at Last Chance Squares in Boise. This is a club I share with my husband who is a caller of 25 years and a cuer of 5 years. We dance Tuesday and Wednesday (class) night's at 11692 West President Dr., Boise, Idaho, from 7-9:30 both nights. We volunteer as caller/cuer throughout the Treasure Valley and the state of Idaho. Roy and I are active in the Square Dance Federation for Idaho, Roy being the president since 2015.

I cue for 2 square dance clubs and 1 round dance club regularly. I teach line dancing and am a member of NTA. Also teach basic rounds for square dancing and cue for a round dance workshop dancing phases 3-6.

Bob & Lynn Van Atta began their round dancing experience in 1983 under the leadership of George & Louise Van Courtland of Lafayette, LA. They became leaders for Les Danseurs Round Dance Club after the death of George Van Courtland in 1884.

In addition to cueing at local & state festivals in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida & Texas, the Van Attas were on the staffs of Fun Valley in Colorado for 2 years, English Mountain in Pigeon Forge, TN for 5 years, the Fontana Fall Festival in North Carolina for 7 years, and the Mid-America Festival in Louisville, KY for 4 years.

They have choreographed a number of dances and two of them, Whipped Cream and Whiskey Under the Bridge, were named "Round of the Quarter" by Round-A-Lab, the International Association of Round Dance Teachers.

After Lynn retired from her teaching position, Bob sold their boarding kennel and they spent the next 7 years on the road, working for KOA (Kampgrounds of America) all over the United States.

In January 2011, Bob & Lynn purchased a home in Green Valley, AZ and have gone back to the activity that was so much a part of their lives - Square and Round Dancing. They cue for the Green Valley Squares and the Western Whirlers square dance clubs. They also teach in their own club, Les Danseurs. They cue and teach five times a week in Tucson and Green Valley in Arizona.

President of the Oklahoma State Callers & Teachers Association 2006, Pres of the Central District Callers Association 2009 & Pres of Sooner State Callers Association 2008. Training chairman for OSCTA 2010. Started calling in 1976. Regularly call for four local clubs. Available for callers seminars and colleges. Also available for country western parties, weddings, church, & company parties. "Do something good for someone today, don't let the good Lord do all the work"

I call mainly to Learning Disabled and at New Dancer events.

Have been teaching & cueing since 1985. Teach beginner basics, Intermediate Basics Phase 3 & 4. Cue for the Friendship Rounds Round Dance Club(a Phase 2-4 RD group)in Paola,KS, the Swingin' Singles SD Club in Shawnee,KS, the Frontier Twirlers SD Club in Osawatomie, KS, the Ottawa Promenaders SD Club in Ottawa, KS, and the Pistols N' Petticoats Plus SD Club in Kansas City, MO. We are ROUNDALAB members & BMI/ASCAP licensed. We are members of the KS Square Dance Callers Association (KSDCA) & Past President, the NE KS Square Dance Callers Association (NEKSDCA), Past President & member of the Kansas Round Dance Association (KRDA). We enjoy teaching dancers (levels 2-4)& try to hold classes each year. We have held a ROUND-A-BOUT workshop/clinic session for the past 4 years in Osawatomie, KS on the first Saturday in October. This is a 9AM - 4PM clinic.
