Commenced calling in 1986 Taught basics through A2 but now only go Basics to Plus. Also teach and cue Line dances. Returned to calling in 2012 after a 13 year layoff due to work commitments.

Cueing Phase II thru Phase VI; We run the Classic Round Dance Club in Hamilton, which is one of the largest in NZ with over 80 happy dancers at all levels. We have 3 classes per week plus are featured cuers and teachers at many NZ weekend Festivals Both Bob & Judith Cue. and are Members of Roundalab & N.Z.Callers & Cuers Assn. Been Teaching Line Dancing, Ballroom, R&R, New Vogue, etc for many years. Started line dancing at PWMC and progressed to calling Square Dancing in 2012. Run a Easy level to full MS at the Petone Working Mens Club (PWMC) every Monday. Help out at Fantail in Upper Hutt and help at Beehive Squares. Run heaps functions and organised large ones for Scottish Country Dancing - Teachers Full Certificate here also. Now mostly retired from work but still love to Square Dance and call when possible.

I regularly call at the Hamilton Square Dance Club on a Friday night, Mainstream night. I call half an hour of Plus prior to Mainstream and I help at the Learner's class on Thursday nights.

We run two classes. Monday Nights 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Phase 5 to 6 and Tuesday Nights 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Phase 4 to 5. Alex is the present New Zealand Square and Round Dance Association Incorporated Past President and he is also the Past Chairman of the New Zealand Round Dance Committee. He is still a committee member on that committee. We run an International Round Dance Festival the first weekend of October every year in Auckland at Phase 3 through to 6. Alex started cueing in 1989 and as a couple we started teaching Round Dancing in 1990. Our Club is called the Ascot Round Dance Club and we formed that in 1991.
